Our current economy makes things very difficult for people. There are more and more people losing their jobs and families losing their homes. Everytime I turn around I am hearing stories about unemployment rates being at their all time high. People are applying for any jobs they can get their hands on. Many of those that are lucky enough to still have jobs are taking pay cuts just to be able to work.
Major stores and corporations that have been around for many years are shutting their doors. Many times employees are made aware of these shut downs when they arrive for work and the doors are closed. Other times companies lay people off in waves hoping to be able to save money and keep the doors open which doesn’t always work.
Many people are not able to afford their homes any more. At least one out of three to four houses on the market is bank owned. The lines at the food pantries are getting longer. There are tent cities or shanty towns popping up across the country. For those that don’t know what that is, it is a vartiety of temporary housing facilities made using tents.
Our economy will turn around. The big question is how many people will be negatively affected before it does? The President is trying to help people by adding a little more to their unemployment checks, by extending the extended benefits, and by making health insurance more affordable for those eligible for Cobra. Every penny saved or made counts.
So what can I do to help people? Check out the posts that I have written for different ways to save money on your everyday needs. There are also many ways to make money online, some pay instantly while others are more of a time investment before you see a profit. I believe that anything is possible so I am here to do my best to try to help people.
