I briefly touched upon SEO in Blogging Basics Part 3 - SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Search Engine Optimization is a process for improving the quantity and quality of traffic to your site from search engines. This kind of traffic is called natural or organic traffic.
The goal of all bloggers and web site owners is to get their site to the first position of the first page for their specific niche and keywords. SEO is something that can make anyone’s head spin. There is so much involved in proper Search Engine Optimization. It can be very confusing especially if you don’t have that much experience.
The main advice that I can give you to get you started is create quality content on a specific subject and then you can make adjustments to it using the best current techniques going around. I say this because new techniques are constantly popping up. Some work, some don’t.
I try to stay with the proven techniques and if I have the time, I play around with the new ones. In the coming days, I will be writing about different Search Engine Optimization techniques to help you get started.
